Activision quiet on "leaked" GHIII list
Hasn't announced anything yet.
Activision has sung "We Haven't Announced Anything Yet" to Eurogamer this afternoon, in response to a full track list for Guitar Hero III appearing online.
The full compliment of songs appeared on website Aeropause, apparently leaked from a Gamespot friend in the know.
If it all proves accurate, you could be throwing your overgrown hair around to the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, Tenacious D and The Sex Pistols. That's on top of familiar faces like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns n' Roses etc.
Move your eyes towards the bottom of your monitor for a full run down from stage to stage. And don't forget this is all unconfirmed.

Thats a good point, i have gh2 but i cant get the co-op achievments.
Although isnt gh3 online???

I doubt they'd do that, since there'd still be the note chart for lead guitar. I think they are just co-op tracks with the backing played by the computer in SP.

Yeah, in Battle Mode star power's replaced by a system that lets you screw with your opponent. Nail the relevant series of notes and tilt the guitar, and you can 'snap a string' (which means they have to hammer a certain button repeatedly to make it work again), or flip the controls so everything's backwards, or do something where you have to hammer the whammy bar before you can play again. It's pretty simple stuff, but really fun in practise.

Easy's, well, ridiculously easy but isn't very satisfying at all. The game doesn't really come alive until you get onto Hard and Expert. But you'll be surprised how quickly you get your head around it, I think, and there are tutorial modes etc.
It does actually help a great deal at first if you know your way around a real guitar.

Guitar Hero has gone downhill since 1 in my book. Even with the superior mutiplayer me and my mate only play the first, mainly for the track selection.

But to be honest, if it was guaranteed to work, I'd pay £99.99 as a one off payment to get the software that would so this on my 360.

However I don't think it's all true. She Builds Quick Machines by Velvet Revolver were confirmed to be in the final game and there's no mention of them on that setlist. Sonic Youth is a definite confirmation though, so expect to play Kool Thing.
Dragonforce is a definite bonus song BTW. Noone could pass the Expert career mode otherwise!

But it's still worth buying for Cities On Flame With Rock And Roll. The best song on there, no question. (Well alright, maybe it ties with "Sunshine Of Your Love".)
Take your hair metal, emo, grunge bullshit away. Away now, I say!

At a guess, I'd say that you can play through the campaign in single-player or co-op; either way, you'll probably unlock both Encore songs when you finish a tier. It just changes which one's played depending on which mode you're in.
thisisatempaccount: Wasn't "Because, It's Midnite" on Rock the 80s? If so, I really doubt it'll be on this.
Something else I wanted to add, I'm sure, but I can't remember what...
