1. If ShopTo are the cheapest retailer for this game at the moment, then it is relevant information. If I were buying this, I'd be pleased to be given the heads up.

2. So cocking what? Its not like they have poked you in the eyes with a turd on a stick. If that is what you consider to be "a pretty filthy bit of whoring that could got not get any less subtle" then I can only recommend you never visit the red light district of Amsterdam.

3. This website is free. EG have to make their money somewhere. I'd much rather they mention the odd retailer in articles about buying things than stuff the pages full of ads. Small amounts of text are far preferable to flash roll-outs.

"Its not like they have poked you in the eyes with a turd on a stick."

Wonderful imagery. :D

There is some kind of symbiotic relationship between ShopTo and Eurogamer: ShopTo have ads built into the Eurogamer site and repost the Eurogamer reviews on their site (which is interesting as it makes it a site that attempts to sell a game with a 2/10 review underneath it).

Neither of which I have a problem with - I hasten to add - just put the stick down. ;)

Yeah I have to admit I actually own Steel Battalion including LoC. Had to import it from Germany to Australia ffs (shipping was a bitch). It was an expensive bundle, but to be fair it was highly specialised, incredibly well built and made in fairly low numbers. So you expect a bit of a cost to it.

Activision cheap out for parts with their plastic peripherals, such as the foot pedals, drum pads in GHWT, and even in some of the guitars themselves for GH2 and 3. Their music series are NOT niche products by definition. They only sell what they know will sell WELL. They will sell like mad. And for that reason it is overpriced.

agree - the Steel Batallion kit was fantastic - solid build and more buttons than you could shake a stick at.

Sold mine ages ago - wish I'd kept it now.

Would have jumped on it for £70 lie Guitar her before it. Would have bought it at £79.99 while moaning. Would have waited for 2nd hand or discount if released at £89.99.
Can't see myself paying the £70-80 (at least) for this at discounted prices.

I know for a fact that [eripherals of this nature would cost about £6.50 to produce. add this to the game and you can see that Activision are making a decent profit off this product when you would expect them to be selling the peripheral at cost bundled with the game which would be their profit...
