Activision details June GH3 songs News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

5 June, 2008

Activision has whisked together a list of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock songs coming out in June.

Kicking it off are a trio of belters from that band Motorhead. "We Are the Road Crew", "Stay Clean" and "Motorhead" should give tickle your fancy enough to buy the upcoming album. It hopes.

The next pack, available on 12th June, pays homage to three Isle of Wight festival headliners. Inside is "Shoot the Runner" by Kasabian, "I Predict a Riot" by the Kaiser Chiefs, and a live rendition of "Problems" by The Sex Pistols.

There are three more bundles to follow, with details on what is who and which is where are expected soon.

Guitar Hero 3 packs usually cost 500 Points (GBP 4.25 / EUR 6.00) on Live Marketplace, and GBP 3.99 on the PlayStation Store.

Motörhead is the only good one there, but I suppose they are the best band on the planet.

As a counter balance to other posters...

Excellent news. This is what we want from Activision and music rhythm games - support. I will happily buy 2,3 or more of these packs if the songs interest me.

And I still have no intention of buying Rock Band. (£180 RRP - how much!!!!)

Rock Band Solus is worth it simply because it's got a better track selection, DLC and learning curve. There's no need to get new instruments if you already have GH and the 360 headset works fine as a mic.

I would really like the drums though.

IMO, as I like Metal, GH's tracklist is better..

Good to see some Motorhead there! I only hope that Activision releases some DECENT Metal pack in June..

At least Rock Band's songs are cheaper, and you can buy individual tracks.

How can you say you like metal and therefore Guitar Hero? Rock Band has Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest (a whole album!), an Earache Records pack, Black Sabbath, Motley Crue and more; GH3 is piss poor compared to that!

Plus, the note charts suck ass. Just comparing between games reveals enough.

Yeah, a Meshuggah pack would be ideal especially if it included a few songs from obZen. Or even a Nuclear Blast pack to rival the Earache one on Rock Band.
