Sultans of Swing is a great song for this series. Most of the others are shite, though. It's called Guitar Hero ffs. Not Indie Music Hero. I always thought a game called Guitar Hero would be packed with songs by Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Allman Bros., etc.

Not bad, a few good songs. Still think they should bring out two versions: one with this track list for people without internet connection or hard disk, and one version where they just give you a code to download like say 80 songs from a wider online selection (potentially divided between 'difficulty levels' so the gameplay format can still work) for people who prefer that.

That would be value for money and the tracklist would be perfect for your specific taste!

Now this is a list, combined with the news that they put someone way more deserving than Hayley Williams in this game as an actual in game character (Shirley Manson) this game is gonna be awesome

Oh Gods, I hated this track list until they put up Sultans Of Swing (which I hope is the live version). I've wanted that so bad... but I swear it won't make me get the game!... probably.

Ps: Mark Knopfler rules.

Typical "Wah Wah Wah!, I HATE THIS GAME BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW 99% OF THE SONGS" complaint I'm sorry to say

World Tour had loads of songs I liked when I read the setlist pre-release but then when I actually played the game I realised the setlist was complete shit.

Reason: I've never heard more than about 50% of the songs but on both Rock Bands I was pleasantly surprised by all the new music. On World Tour practically every song that I didn't already like before playing the game made we want to vomit all over my tiny plastic guitar.

So, based on past form I'm not going to buy this even though I see lots of good songs on the list.

Somebody give this guy a job! this would be the best possible way for anyone to make a music game like GH/RB.
TBH, given the size of the ever-growing RB library, they could actually do this, and let you download exactly the tracks you wanted for the game. At the same time, this gives people a taste of the downloads available and would probably increase DLC sales.

Not a bad list in my opinion. Impressed with the inclusion of Sunny Day Real Estate, Brand New, The Bronx and a fair few others. Quite tempted by this now.

You check out guitar george he knows all the chords
Mind hes strictly rhythm he doesnt want to make it cry or sing
And an old guitar is all he can afford
Because both Activision and EA have been pushing up the price of their music game equipment.

Typical elitist reaction to not liking the same music? It's more a case of I don't know 50%, don't care about 45% of the rest. You might think it's fantastic, enjoy the game. I'm going to remain irritated that one of my favourite songs is included in an otherwise mostly uninteresting (to me) list.

The new batch of songs is better than the whole of the rest of the tracklist. Shame the game will no doubt be shite though.

Hmmm, that's actually quite an interesting setlist - probably enough to make me change my mind and buy another guitar hero game. Although Zamn's point about the songs you've never heard of being vastly inferior in GH games than RB is very true in my experience. About time someone released Plug in Baby but i wish harmonix and activision would quit including the Beastie Boys - the instrument tracks tend to be dull and repetitive and its just unfair on whoever happens to have hold of the mic when the game throws up their song and uncomfortable for everyone else to listen to them half-heartedly rap along with cringeworthy lyrics about being "in the back skeezing with a ho"

I only ever bother playing the songs on guitar, and once you've done the ones you like a couple of times, it's basically over.

Jimmy Page has made it clear that he will never sell out to the corporate whores that are activision so it is doubtful that any Led Zeppelin tracks will ever appear in GH.

I wasn't meant to be elitist, I can't stand those sort of people to be honest. I'm just sick of people saying a GH game is gonna suck because they have no heard of at least all of if not, half the songs on them, it's been like this since Rocks The 80s

The fact world tour was really poor (the instruments are great but ended up getting RB2 which is a far superior bit of sofatware), and I am boycotting all activision games (apart from MW2) means this installment will be missed...
