AC/DC live collection for Rock Band
To cost a whopping 30 quid.
MTV and Harmonix have signed an exclusive collection of live AC/DC tracks for Rock Band.
The 18-strong batch, due for early December, totals around 99 minutes of gameplay for each instrument. The only problem is the hefty asking price of GBP 29.99 / EUR 39.99 (GBP 19.99 / EUR 29.99 on PS2).
AC/DC has only previously allowed "Let There Be Rock" to appear in a rhythm action game, in this case Rock Band 2. So that's something.
The full list of live songs by the iconic Australian rockers can be found below. Remember, these can be played in both Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2 - not that the latter has any sort of release date in Europe.
- "Thunderstruck"
- "Shoot to Thrill"
- "Back in Black"
- "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be"
- "Heatseeker"
- "Fire Your Guns"
- "Jailbreak"
- "The Jack"
- "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"
- "Moneytalks"
- "Hells Bells"
- "High Voltage"
- "Whole Lotta Rosie"
- "You Shook Me All Night Long"
- "T.N.T."
- "Let There Be Rock"
- "Highway To Hell"
- "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)"

In fact, I'd prefer it if they were studio versions too.

Taking the piss!
Sorry but this is getting beyond a joke, I don't mind the actual game costing £30-£40 , then getting the instruments etc.. but companies are now seeing this (GH & Singstar as well) as too much of a Cash Cow. They really can't help themselves, i give it 4 months before someone releases a bigger collection for even more money. Beatles/Rolling Stones back catalog yours for just £150 ...
And yes i know if i don't like i don't have to buy. And i won't be forking out £30 for this.

However, at least places like Amazon and Play should have it much cheaper than £30 - their pricing of Rock Band itself was below the RRP put forward for it.

I like AC/DC but they have been churning out that same riff for over 25 years (now Airbourne have nicked it!)

I was gonna get a Gibson and learn Back in Black, but now I'll buy this, drink what I've saved and enjoy myself

Pay attention, he said will Bon Scott be singing the relevant songs, not all of them.

It's still more than I'd pay for AC/DC, but whatever.

Wow, a bit more than influenced by AC/DC
As for £30, for 18 tracks. DLC or retail thats a bit on the steep side.

The price is absurd - shame on them.

That's a bit much to be fair, and I'd rather have studio versions too.

I'd also have preferred studio recordings.

Still a bit of a piss-take at that sort of pricing though.

This will only get worse before it gets better. Let's pray GH4's hyped 'play any song you like' thing really works.

For people that want to just export the songs to the hard-drive, sure, "expensive DLC," but that's not what it is actually sold as.
It'll probably be reduced to a tenner on Play.com by January anyway, then it'll be "cheap DLC" and everyone can stop moaning.
