I really don't see the point of console poker games. If you want to play poker, you can go online and gamble with £40 playing poker. Why spend £40 on a game to pretend you're playing poker?

Movies looks more and more tempting. I might keep an eye out for the original in a bargain bin.

"it is just a poker game, and one that relies more on luck than on skill."

so no one at EG actually plays much poker, then

That marvel game really is super-meh. They may be taking full advantage of their expensive licence with hordes of characters and fancy costumes but it's totally gameplay by numbers.

The only game here that excites me is Tony Hawk's downhill jam. Another proper use of the Wii controller!

Pardon my ignorance, but if these all-new fangled 360s and PS3s can produce jaw dropping visuals, why exactly does the Marvel game need pre-rendered cut scenes?

There's nothing more off-putting to me than cut-scenes that aren't rendered with the game's engine. It totally ruins the immersion of playing the game. I guess that's why Sony insist you need blu-ray storage space - for hours of bloody hi-def pre-rendered cut scenes. Hopefully technological contrains on the 360 will force developers to show these through the game engine instead.

I loved Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. I would very much like to see a new version of that or this new Quake Enemy Territory come to my 360.

The Tony Hawk trailer on Live had me interested in the series again since I finished the first ps1 version. In fact it's one of my favourite trailers of the show so far, it's a shame if the graphics/physics is all that has changed.

yep Hawks has me interested after the utter dump that was THAW, hoping it goes back to inly boarding and basically being a skill vs risk taking game like th 1-4

edit: seamless streaming world...ok my expectations are lowered..Thaw2 perhaps...

Yossarin, I took that comment to mean that this particular poker game won't reward skill the way real world poker does, not that poker isn't a game of skill.

If you've got a gamestation near you have a look in there. They had 2nd hand copies for £7.99 in a buy-one-get-one-free deal last time i looked in our local one.
