What the hell is going on with his gun in the screenshot! It's only half a gun! Hmm kind of like this game...

haha I just noticed that too. If you can spot a bug in the review screenshot then there's alot more wrong with this game than not.

I wonder how long before people realise the PSP is boring for the most part?

Increasingly, flaws in games for PSP are becoming flaws with the PSP itself. I have a feeling that not long after PSP will become a white elephant for Sony. Best leave the handhelds to Nintendo, who do them best.

The last good western game was Sunset Riders for the SNES and Megadrive, since then all the rest are poor.

@herod: You might be right, but one starts thinking if increasingly the reviews mention the hardware as a sticking point. After all, you will find very few, if any, frustrated comments on DS reviews. I know the two machines are not directly comparable, but still.

I actually enjoyed Gun on teh cube for a cheap 30 euros. It was a good laugh, a bit behind the times in terms of gameplay mechanics and physics etc but still fun which is the main thing for me when it comes to games. I would never dream of playing it on my psp though what with a broken control scheme and load times (which aren't so much of an issue at home but on the move they're a deal breaker for me).

The PSP is as good as its games, which isn't anything more than alright. IMO

I thought GUN was OK on the 360 when I picked it up at launch and I enjoyed playing it even if it was a little bland and empty. It's definitely not a great game though and now I wouldn't give it more than 5/10 as it could have been so much better, especially on the 360.

I wonder why every developer thinks that porting a Playstation game to the PSP is a good idea. Yes, the system is called a "PlayStation PORTable". :)

But still, there are genres that work better on a handheld, why not specifically develop for the PSP? Have the devs already lost faith, or what?

ummm... I actualy enjoyed this... Using the buttons instead of the second analogue isn't as hard as the review makes it sounds and I only encountered one scenery glitch in the whole game.

It's not great, but then the original wasn't, but I'd have given it a 7 as it's good fun while it lasts...

I'm one of the few who like (liked) Gun, I had it on xbox and played all the way through. I sold my psp last week, I had owned for eight months, enjoyed S.F Dark mirror,Everybody golf and Football manger hand held (mighty Gunners) but I had a choice to sell Ds or PSP, no contest, I want Zelda and I'm still playing Mario 64. I'm not a "fan boy" of any make/company just games. I do think Sony need to get their act together with the psp so much promise yet to be seen. If you haven't played Gun give it a go, who didn't want to be a cowboy ? or maybe the horse fetish is just mine!

Re: Mario indeed I am. Never played it before, it's great. Playing Scarface on xbox 55% into that and enjoying. Waiting for Zelda GC to come out, only reason I still have the Gamecube.
Trying to get through all my old games before I get a 360 after xmas.

By this time, it should be possible for Sony to shrink PS2 down to PSP size and add that gorgeous screen. As for controls, you'll just have to recreate Dual Shock one on both sides. Problem solved! Millions of games available! Play GT4 on the go! :)

If Jeanne D'arc from Level 5 or FFVII Crisis Core from Square Enix, doesn't eject some RPG lovin' into the PSP i think i'll cry. ;_;

So far there's been some old PSone ports like BoF 3, Tales of Eternia, and Valkryie Lenneth... heck even Disgaea is going to get ported to the PSP.

I don't want ports goddamnit i want new RPG's.

Was sent this the other day and been giving it a go. To be honest, I agree with the sentiment that Rebellion couldn't really have done much more with it. The game looks pretty decent and it seems to have kept most (if not all) the original features and such. Unfortunately the limits of the PSP kind of hamper it a bit, although to be honest I actually got used to the control scheme fairly quickly and got on with it.

5/10? Bit harsh possibly. I'd given it a 6 because the developers have squeezed the most out of it and done a pretty good job on a game which was never suited to the hardware. Like the reviewer said, it's hard to imagine where it could have improved. Sadly, GUN really needs dual stick controls which the PSP obviously doesn't have.

Wow, a game that was shit on every other machine is still shit on this one, but as usual a bunch of tossers show up to blame the PSP and demonstrate their total ignorance of the massive depth and variety of titles available on the system.

Perhaps I should hop on over to yesterdays 3/10 score for Crash Boom Bang on the DS and talk about how that must mean the DS is a gimmicky piece of shit?

Oh wait, I forgot, I'm not an ignorant troll.
