505 adapting Grease for Wii, DS News

505 Games and Paramount Digital have announced a Wii and DS adaptation of legendary musical Grease.

The result will be a party game where players use Wiimote and microphone to sing and dance with Danny and Sandy and their respective gangs. Some of us know all the moves already of course, because some of us were Danny in their school production of Grease.

Grease will be squarely aimed at the casual audience, and has no release date as of yet.

I predict a complete miss-match between the age of the audience that news of this would appeal to (24+ yr olds) & their expectations, and the age to which the game will present itself too (7-15yr old girls). Just like dirty dancing and Princess bride games.
