50 Cent 2 not set in Middle East
It's a pastiche of different war zones.
Julian Widdows, game director on 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, has dismissed suggestions the title is set in the Middle East.
Speaking at last week's Sierra showcase event Widdows said, "It's an everyman's war zone. It's a pastiche of war zones, for want of a better way of describing it.
"Yes, there are definitely Eastern influences in parts of the game, but there are also Western influences. From day one the art team wanted to create something that could have been anywhere."
As a result, Blood on the Sand features elements from the Baltic states, Cuba and ancient Persia, amongst others. But what about the title?
"Well, yes, Blood on the Sand does suggest it's somewhere sandy," Widdows said. "That's the subtitle that was chosen with the marketing teams in the US. It's pretty difficult to create a pastiche of a war zone without some Eastern influence, but it's not a middle eastern setting - that's not what we wanted to do."
50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 this autumn.

Maybe it is supposed to be set in a mix of the middle east, Cuba and the Baltic States.... except it doesn't look anything LIKE Cuba or the Baltics.
From the previous article.
"The story takes place in a fictitious Middle Eastern country where 50 Cent and G-Unit are doing a gig. But the promoter runs out of money, so he has to give them a diamond-encrusted skull as payment."
Hmmm.

Haha! You sir, are a funny fucker.
I also find it nigh-on unbelievable that anyone could use a word like pastische in connection with such a brute piece of shit like 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.

Julian Widdows: "50 Cent: Raghead Shooting Gallery is not about shooting just arabs, rather it will be the wholesale slaughter of a pastiche of different types of ragheads; including arabs, persians, sikhs and other assorted rag headed peoples of this world."
