2K dates its Civilization Revolution
Console conqueror on 6th June.
2K Games has told Eurogamer that Civilization Revolution will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and DS on 6th June.
This is a fully-fledged console foray into the strategical series that helped Sid Meier bag himself a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Game Developers Conference last night.
That means 2K has taken lots of time and effort to make the controls and content fit with a couch-based audience. This is not dumbed-down, but rather streamlined so there are shorter experiences on offer if you so choose.
It has a hefty online offering too, with camera support for you to watch your friends sweat while you tear down their hard work. Or you could be diplomatic about it, a bit like a girl.
We're quite taken with its potential, and will be heading off to see in the not too distant future.
Until then, explore our Civilization Revolution gamepage for some freshly released screenshots.

Nope. Console only. And DS. There was a Wii version planned, but it was added as an afterthought long into PS3 and 360 development. It got put on indefinite hold because the developers wanted to focus on the main versions.
I'm excited about this one, it sounds like they've gone to a lot of effort to make it work.

That would sell it to me over the 360 version, Sony should really start trying to push more M+K support into games released on their system.
