Forza 3 to be bundled with 250GB Xbox
Get the pair next month for 250 quid.
Microsoft has unveiled another 250GB Xbox 360 bundle, this time for Forza Motorsport 3.
Due 23rd October for £249.99, the Super Elite Bundle packs two wireless pads, a headset, regular copy of the game and, of course, a 250GB Xbox 360.
No fancy colour-scheme, though, like the Modern Warfare 2 bundle.
How many more of these bundles Microsoft has we're intrigued to find out.
The platform holder said yesterday that the 250GB HDD is not to be sold separately. But for how long? We'll see.

I can't remember where I seen it now but I think it was going to retail at £200.

£250 is a fantastic price as well, was expecting £300 like many said about the other bundle.

Why not? It can't rip the DVDs for you, but it can certainly play them.

I agree
@moggsy
Music and game installs my guess.
Out of the bundles this looks the best VFM and the MW2 design is garbage TBH

Use the code 'lastminute09' at GAME and it'll knock £5 off, bringing the CE down to £50.
Better deal, since Game have an exclusive BMW skin as well as the standard R8 one you get from pre-ordering anywhere.

I was under the impression that you couldn't play video's (Divx's etc) directly from the hard drive?
Backed up by this page on the Xbox website which only mentions:
1. Watching DVD's.
2. Viewing content downloaded from Xbox Live® Marketplace.
3. Viewing streaming video from a Microsoft Windows Media Center–based PC.
So are you talking about a chipped Xbox 360?

Hmmm possible. I have never tried that TBH. All my content is on a USB HDD and that seems to work just fine.

It's just a shame that I was really really shit at it.
The game's lead designer was there too and he's veeeery excited about the tyre deformation in the game.

So then back to my original point, why would anyone need a 250GB HDD?

They really should add a HDMI cable to these bundles too IMO, I'm also thinking whether I need 250GB but isn't it better to have more space than you need? Hard disk drives run faster, if you dont come close to filling them too apparently.

Installing games takes up quite a bit of room, but it's nice to be able to do to cut down load times and eliminate noise. I have a lot of XBLA games, which combined takes up a fairly large amount. I store a lot of music on the 360 to use in custom soundtracks. Certain game expansions take up a lot too, Fallout 3 and GTA inparticular. And we're also starting to see games like Forza which requires some of it's content to be installed if you want to access it.
So yeah, while a 120gb would be more than enough, being able to install more games and download more demo's without having to worry about filling it up would be nice.
