Zelda: Link's Awakening on Nintendo Switch has an intriguing new customisable dungeon

Nightmare mode.

Nintendo has revealed a release date and a surprising new addition to the new Nintendo Switch version of Game Boy classic The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

First off, Link's remade visit to Koholint Island will launch on 20th September 2019, Nintendo announced during its E3 Direct today.

Nintendo also showed off Link's Awakening's new dungeon creation feature, which lets you slot together rooms, with puzzles, enemies and bosses to cobble together your own custom dungeon.

It's unclear if you'll be able to share these more widely, similar to Super Mario Maker, although you'll gain rewards from running through your own creation, such as extra bottles.
