Colossus 6 in Shadow of the Colossus is known as the sixth colossus Barba, or the Temple Colossus to fans, with the bearded, wise old giant hiding away in the depths of a distant ruin.

It's a tricky one, as Barba moves surprisingly fast on its feet, and is one of the furthest away colossi that you'll have encountered so far.

Colossus 6 location and how to find the sixth colossus Barba, the Temple Colossus

The sixth colossus' location is a fair distance to the south-west of the central Shrine of Worship.

Head out of the shrine and down the steps, and from the direction you're facing you need to go slightly to the right and straight ahead.

You'll eventually reach a lush forest with a brown dirt path heading through it. When you come to a fork in the track, hang left. Soon after the fork it'll swing to the right, and you'll exit the woods.

There, you'll find a short natural bridge with a brief cave at the other end. Head straight through and out the other side and you'll be in a desert.

Whip out your sword to check you're going in the right direction and charge across the desert to the rocky formation on the other side. You'll soon see some sculpted ruins coming into focus.

Enter through the front of the ruins - you'll need to leave Agro behind here - and head down into the temple. Follow the corridor, hopping over or under the piles of stone in your way, until you reach a huge room that opens out in front of you, triggering a cutscene.

You need to climb straight down the ledge you stood at during the cinematic just then, so walk off the edge and hold on!

Go straight downwards and you'll reach a platform where you can regain some stamina, then head down to one side of it for the next platform, and then the bottom. We found you could get down it pretty quickly by letting go and then grabbing on after you fell a short way each time.

How to defeat the sixth colossus, Barba, the Temple Colossus

Barba will appear when you reach the bottom, striding through two huge doors behind you. The first thing you need to do is get away from him, heading to the far end of the huge room and climbing over the walls as you go.

You need to get over these quickly, because the Temple Colossus will smash straight through those low walls and take you out in the process if you aren't careful. Make a beeline for the far end, where you can take cover in the shadows and columns of that back wall.

When you get there, you'll find the sixth colossus has come to a stand still - it's faster than you on foot, but can't reach you under that back wall's ledge. Eventually, it'll smash the ground to try and draw you out, and then bend down to peer in and look at you.

That's your chance to make a move - when Barba bends over its long grey beard will be in reach. Jump on it and cling on, and climb up onto the back of its head, where you'll find the first sigil.

After the usual stabbing and clinging on as it tries to shake you off, make your way down its back to its lower left-hand side, where you'll find the second sigil. If you need to catch your breath, wait for it to bend forwards and stick near the top of its back, where you can stand up safely.
