Zelda - Takama Shiri, Dual Purpose solution in Breath of the Wild DLC 2

How to complete DLC 2 trial Takama Shiri.

Takama Shiri, Dual Purpose is a challenge as part of The Champions' Ballad, which is the main quest in Zelda: Breath of the Wild's second DLC.

It is part of EX Champion Urbosa's Song, which you'll tackle halfway through the DLC.

If you're after help for the main game itself, then consult our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough and guide.

Where to find Takama Shiri

Thankfully, the challenge you need to complete in order to unlock the second shrine is far more forgiving than the first. From the shrine outside Gerudo Town, head west towards the ruins in the sand and the marker shown in the screenshot.

You'll see a group of sand seals and beyond a blue portal. Grab one by the tail and ride it towards the portal.

Keep riding through each one, using the blue maker from each one to find the next. Use dash to speed up, but watch out for enemies that pop out of the sand and try to knock you off. If you fall, the sand seal with disappear so avoid getting hit.

When you pass through the final portal, the shrine will emerge next to you.

Takama Shiri, Dual Purpose solution

This shrine - Dual Purpose - is another trial involving electrical currents. To begin, align the two metal platforms in the middle to cross safely. When on the other side, use Magnesis to shift the blocks to the left-hand side to complete the circuit, thus opening the gate.

In the next room, drop down to your left and move the second metal block along - the block nearest to the platform where you first entered this area won't be electrified anymore, so know you can now climb the ladder and run around the ledge.

Now move the blocks in front of you so they're disconnected from the energy source and forming a bridge of sorts.

Now on the other side, move the block nearest to you so it's touching the energy source, then move the others so it creates a circuit to the other side. You can now use the block on the far-left to reach the gate that's now open.

In the next - and final - room, you'll see a set of three blocks on either side. Three of these six blocks are climbable, so use Magnesis to move them into the middle - and away from any electrical blocks. Climb to the top and run around to the metal balcony overlooking the whole room.

Now move the top block and the bottom two to the far right. Now move the middle two into the middle, connecting them to the top block on the far-left. This should create a circuit, opening the gate to your right. The Monk and the emblem await.
