Sony reveals new limited edition Monster Hunter World PS4 Pro bundle

Custom console, controller, and game.

Sony has revealed a new, limited edition Monster Hunter World PlayStation 4 Pro bundle, complete with custom console and controller, due to release on January 26th.

The console itself - a 1TB PS4 Pro - is emblazoned with a gloss-on-matte-black depiction of Monster Hunter World's cover star, and series' tough guy, the fire-breathing Rathalos. There's even an appropriately fiery red smear for added impact. Over on the console's front-facing panel, you'll find a number of gold emblems thrown in for good measure.

The limited edition DualShock 4 wireless controller, meanwhile, is a rather fetching shade of maroon (although Sony insists that it's merely "red"), replete with some vaguely tentacular patterns to enliven the grips. Oh, and a few more gold flourishes because why not.

Given that you'll probably want to play some Monster Hunter World on your new Monster Hunter World PS4 Pro, Sony has thoughtfully included a physical copy of the game in the bundle, as well as voucher codes for an in-game Origin Armour Set and Fair Wind Charm Talisman, plus a Monster Hunter World dynamic theme.

The limited edition Monster Hunter World PS4 Pro will release on January 26th (when the game launches for Xbox One and PS4), and will be sold exclusively by GameStop in the US, for $449.99 USD. In the UK, you can try GAME for £379.99, though Sony merely suggests keeping an eye on retailers for pricing details. Pre-orders should begin soon.
