Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon - Poni Island, Seafolk Village, Poni Wilds and Poni Beach

Our in-progress walkthrough for the whole Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon island challenge and beyond.

Poni Island, and it's first areas Seafolk Village, Poni Wilds and Poni Beach are your next ports of call, quite literally as you leave Aether Paradise by boat.

Here on this page we'll explain all you need to know about the story and main events as they unfold here, and as with all pages of our walkthrough we'll highlight any and all trainers, items and wild Pokémon available to catch as well.

For more general guides and other walkthrough pages like this meanwhile, head back to our main Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon walkthrough and guide hub.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Poni Island - Seafolk Village

A floating, traditional settlement on the south-west of the island, Seafolk Village is surprisingly full of things to see and do.

After an introduction from a lady called Mina, the island's only Captain, you're free to roam. Head to the shop in the bottom left of the village to collect two free evolution items - the Magmarizer and Electirizer - as well as a free Aerodactyl, the only one in Alola!

Those aren't the only gifts though - head to the Steelix-shaped houseboat in the top right and show a woman in there an Alolan Raichu to get Aloraichium Z, and exclusive Z Crystal for it, and outside their house on the porch by the fisherman is TM91 Flash Cannon. Further north is a woman standing outside who'll trade you the only West Sea form Shellos in the region for your Granbull, too.

Finally, there's the Floating Restaurant, which is worth a visit, and the Pokémon Center where you'll find not one but two Move Tutors. Phew!

When you're all done in the town, head north to Poni Wilds.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Poni Wilds and Poni Beach

Poni Wilds is a fairly large, grassy route with a handful of trainers and items, as well as some rare Pokémon, to collect. It's a nice break to be back doing regular route exploring after all that drama, so drink it in!

The most important item is the Dusk Stone you can find just to the right on a ledge, otherwise explore at your will, catch a rare Gastrodon, then quickly hang left to Poni Beach.

Next up: Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon - Ancient Poni Path, Poni Breaker Coast, Machamp Shove

The beach contains a spot for Mantine Surfing, along with a few hidden items and a Max Repel. When you're all done, head back east again, all the way through Poni Wilds, until you get to Poni Path, your next stop on the hunt for the Island Kahuna who may be able to help you track down Lusamine.
