Out of all the upcoming Black Friday 2017 madness, it's a safe bet that the Xbox One S will be one of the most heavily discounted consoles you're likely to see this year, likely bundled with games as well as seeing discounts to the console on its own. If you're after a bargain on an Xbox One console or Xbox One games, read on as we take a look at the best Xbox One Black Friday deals for this year.
Black Friday is the international shopping extravaganza that involves retailers online and in-store offering steep discounts on tech, electronics, games, consoles and more. This year, Black Friday takes place on Friday, November 24th, 2017. For all of our other Black Friday coverage, you can check out our Black Friday deals hub, which features the best deals on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and more.
The fun doesn't stop on Black Friday, though. After a weekend filled with deals, Cyber Monday takes place on November 27th, 2017. Despite its cringe-worthy name, you can think of Cyber Monday as a second chance for a lot of online-based retailers to discount a wide variety of their products, most of which will not have been discounted during Black Friday itself. While the title alludes to it being a one-day affair, it's anything but - expect another week's worth of deals.
The significant discounts that we'll see on the Xbox One S console are owed largely to the November 7th release of the Xbox One X, though we may get lucky and see a bundle or two for that system as well. On top of the consoles themselves, we'll be seeing some big discounts on a huge amount of Xbox One games, both first-party and third as Microsoft is keen to get people playing its ever-increasing back catalogue.
The best Xbox One Black Friday bundles
If history can tell us anything, Microsoft will be ready for a fight this Black Friday, as the company has previously offered up some of the biggest discounts on hardware and software through Black Friday week, along with discounting many first-party games like Forza Motorsport 7 and Halo Wars 2 by huge amounts. Expect this trend to continue this year as Microsoft hopes to gain a bigger audience via console sales.
Xbox One accessories you should look for
Another thing we're likely to see a major discount on this year is the Xbox One Elite Controller. Microsoft's luxury option for gaming controllers has proven itself to be a favourite among Xbox One gamers as well as PC users, as the pad works on both of these formats. Regularly retailing for £130, the Elite Controller has seen discounts take it down to as low as £99.99 over the past year but it's likely that Microsoft will use Black Friday to drop the price a little bit further - perhaps as low as £75 - in order to get it into the hands of brand new Xbox One X owners.
If you're looking for the best deals on the Elite Controller as well as a whole bunch of other Xbox One accessories, you can check out Jelly Deals for a guide to the best accessories for Xbox One.
Last year gave us discounts that took the Xbox One S down to £199.99 alongside copies of Minecraft and Forza Horizon 3, which in itself was a great deal, though the absolute best value bundle had to be GAME's offering of an Xbox One S with FIFA 17, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Forza Horizon 3, along with a Now TV Sky Cinema pass - that pack would have cost you £229.99. With all this in mind, it's easy to conclude that we'll be seeing bundles this year that will both match those prices and go even further, we'll likely see Xbox One S bundles from as low as £160 while you can bet on a handful of titles being offered up in Xbox One X bundles for free during Black Friday week.
Shifting focus over to games, last year boasted the likes of Dark Souls 3 for £17, Doom for £14, Bioshock The Collection for £24, The Division for £15 and The Witcher for £12.50. Needless to say, we'll be seeing similarly discounted games this year - some of the year's biggest releases are expected to be available from as low as £15, so if you've been holding out on picking up titles like Prey, Halo Wars 2, Injustice 2, or Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, to name a few, you'll most likely be in luck.
Rest assured, we'll be here to cover all the best deals and offers until the bitter end of Black Friday, and in the meantime, we've gathered up a list of the current best Xbox One deals you can buy before Black Friday 2017 even starts.
If after all of that, you still haven't found your dream deal, remember that we'll be keeping this page updated in the run-up to Black Friday (and of course, Cyber Monday after it) so be sure to bookmark this page and check back regularly. You never know, you may just find the bargain you've been looking for in advance and skip all the flurry and madness that is Black Friday week itself.
