The bodies keep piling up, and in light of what the Capatin reveals you can't help wondering whether these are copycats or whether they are the work of a serial killer after all.

Location: Pawnbroker

Examine the two Pawned Rings.

Location: Railyard

Talk to the coroner.

  • Examine the body; look at the head to find Vagrancy, and the right arm to find Missing Ring
  • On the yellow blanket near the body you'll find a Matchbook from Mensch's Bar, and a paper from Levine's Liquor Store.
  • Examine the handbag to find the Upper Half of a Letter and a Movie Lot Job Card.

Interview John Ferdinand Jamison:

  • Interference with Evidence: Good Cop (or Truth in the original version).
  • Discovery of Victim's Body: Bad Cop (or Doubt in the original version).

Use the telephone to get the address of Levine's Liquor Store.

Location: Levine's Liquor Store

Visit here before heading to the bar otherwise you'll miss out on a few questions.

When you get to the victim's bedroom, search for Clues:

  • Examine the Book to find Grosvenor McCaffrey's signature.
  • Examine the photo.
  • There is also a pin from Rawling's Bowling and an award.

Interview Robbins:

  • Contact with Victim: Good Cop (or Truth in the original version).
  • Relationship with Victim: Good Cop (or Truth in the original version).
  • Knowledge of McCaffrey: Bad Cop (or Doubt in the original version).

Location: Mensch's Bar

Interview Grosvenor McCaffrey:

  • Criminal History: Bad Cop (or Doubt in the original version).
  • Relationship with victim: Accuse (or Lie in the original version). Evidence: Book.

Location: Central Police Station

Meet the Captain downstairs, then use the telephone.

Location: Rawling's Bowling Alley

After speaking to the woman at the shoe desk you'll need to chase James Tiernan by car.

Location: McCaffrey's Apartment

Clues:

  • On the desk to the left is the other half of the Torn Letter.
  • There's a bloody pipe from Rawling's Bowling and a Bloody Shirt on the floor.

McCaffrey is on the roof, and will make a run for it as you approach.

Location: Central Police Station

You'll need to move between the two interrogation rooms to use each suspect's testimony against the other. Tiernan is in room 1, and McCaffrey is in room 2.

James Tiernan:

  • Relationship with Victim: Accuse (or Lie in the original version). Evidence: Victim Last Seen.
  • Victim's Book Found: Bad Cop (or Doubt in the original version).
  • Alibi for James Tiernan: Accuse (or Lie in the original version). Evidence: Liquor Purchase.
  • Access to Murder Weapon: Bad Cop (or Doubt in the original version).

Grosvenor McCaffrey:

  • Alibi for McCaffrey: Accuse (or Lie in the original version). Evidence: Torn Letter.
  • Access to Tire Iron: Accuse (or Lie in the original version). Evidence: Tiernan Accusation.

Leave the room to use the phone to gather additional evidence.

  • Military Service: Accuse (or Lie in the original version). Evidence: McCaffrey's Criminal Record.
