Super Mario Odyssey - Flower Thieves of Sky Garden and how to beat the Fat Broodal

How to complete the Wooded Kingdom objective.

Flower Thieves of Sky Garden and how to beat the Fat Broodal are objectives you'll encounter a fair chunk of the way through Super Mario Odyssey, which follow on from Super Mario Odyssey - Steam Gardens, Road to Sky Garden.

You'll find our full walkthrough for them here, whilst you can head back to our main Super Mario Odyssey guide, walkthrough and tips hub for plenty more on all aspects of the game!

Flower Thieves of Sky Garden

Run up to the P Switch, do a Ground Pound and a road made of grass will appear. Don't wait around, it'll disappear just as quick so follow it as it curves around to another metal platform. Hit the next P Switch and follow this much longer grass road as it curves around to a metal tower.

Enter the doorway. Inside the Sky Garden Tower, hit the P Switch to launch a grass road around the inside of the tower. Jump over the metal pillars that jut out of the inside of tower, and leap onto the far platform.

Use Capy to possess the Uproot, then stretch onto the high platform to your right. Stretch again and land on the P Switch to permanently activate it. However, this grass road will fade and regrow so watch your step.

Follow the grass road up to the top, then leap your way to the very top. Head through the white doorway to prepare for the next big boss fight.

Fat Broodal

This Broodal is the toughest so far, so be prepared for a messy fight - literally! To begin with, the boss will spit out a circular field of purple gloop. Remember, one touch is enough to take one chunk of your life away. Use Capy to start clearing a path to him.

He'll spit purple gloop at you at regular intervals so throw Capy at him as soon as possible. This will knock his hat off. Now leap onto his head to do some damage. The boss will now retreat into his hat and start dragging lines of purple gloop around the arena. Keep in mind that this hat can be knocked away, so don't be too scared of it.

Repeat this process two more times, but beware that the boss will spit purple gloop even further which each phase. So be on your guard. When the boss it toast, run over and claim your Multi Moon prize.
