Super Mario Odyssey - Multi Moon Atop The Falls

How to complete the Cascade Kingdom objective.

Multi Moon Atop the Falls is an objective you'll encounter early on in Super Mario Odyssey, which follows on from Super Mario Odyssey - Fossil Falls: Our First Power Moon.

You'll find our full walkthrough for it here, whilst you can head back to our main Super Mario Odyssey guide, walkthrough and tips hub for plenty more on all aspects of the game!

Multi Moon Atop The Falls

Cross the newly created bridge created by collecting the previous Moon. When it's fallen, cross the water, then throw Capy at the globe outside the rusted top hat house. Wait, that's not a house - that's a ship.

Say hello to the titular Odyssey, the flying boat that will take you on your brand new Mario adventure. The one Moon you've collected so far will power the Odyssey a small amount - now you need to collect some more. Four more, to be exact.

Lets a-go! Turn left from the Odyssey and collect the three Purple Coins on the other side of the tall pole. Turn right here and head towards the three Chain Chomps. To the right of them you'll find three Purple Coins atop a large platform.

Turn left at the Chain Chomps and you'll find three more Purple Coins inside a small alcove. Jump up to the highest platform to find a sleeping T-Rex. Now you can either use the Chain Chomps to destroy the stones blocking your path, or possess the T-Rex and smash your way through them all. This prehistoric chap is pretty much invulnerable, so keeping snapping at enemies to dispose of them.

Need more help? Our Super Mario Odyssey guide and walkthrough goes through every objective in each Kingdom, while our Power Moon locations can help you track down the likes of Cascade Kingdom Power Moons, Sand Kingdom Power Moons, Metro Kingdom and New Donk City Power Moons and more collectables. We also have Purple Coin locations for each Kingdom, and if you want to know what to spend it on, we have a hats list, outfits list, stickers list, a souvenirs list as well as a music list to kit out the appearance of both Mario and the Odyssey. Once you've finished the game, check out the free Balloon World update, too.

Pass the checkpoint (Stone Bridge), smash through the spiky foes in front of you (they can't really hurt you as a T-Rex), then collect three more Purple Coins atop the stone tower. Now smash the large cliff face to reveal a special 2D platforming section. That's right, classic 8-bit Mario is back for these special sections. Just remember you can't use Capy in here - it's old school Mario platforming in these bits.

Make your way to the top of this short section, jumping up into blocks to collect gold coins as you go. Jump up to the top of the section to return to the realm of three dimensions, and cross the checkpoint nearby (Fossil Falls Heights). Possess the nearest Chain Chomp and hit the other to destroy the block leading to the next big boss encounter.
