Destiny 2 Thief of Thieves and Bad Neighbors - how to find and defeat Teliks, the Bandit Captain and Azyrax, Exalted Conjurer

Everything you need for tackling the Titan-based Destiny 2 Adventures.

Thief of Thieves and Bad Neighbors are two mid-level Adventures you'll unlock in Destiny 2, and are available to play from the planet Titan area fairly early on.

Here on this page, we'll give you a rundown of exactly how to unlock and then complete the two adventures, as well as a note of what rewards you can expect for doing so.

Before diving in though, note that for more of the same, and a general overview of how Adventures work, you can take a look at our Destiny 2 Adventures hub, with a list of various other Adventures and links to their respective guides, too.

Destiny 2 - Thief of Thieves

Thief of Thieves is a low to mid-level Adventure, and can be found on the planet Titan.

Prerequisites: Complete Riptide
Recommended power: 60
Reward: Rare (Blue) loot.

Here's what you need to do to complete the Thief of Thieves Adventure and tackle Teliks, the Bandit Captain:

  • Recover tools from Fallen supply thieves - There are five of these guys are running around the start area - they're pretty quick on their feet, so getting in close for melee kills is easier than trying to shoot them.
  • Find the Fallen cache - Follow the waypoints
  • Clear the area.
  • Scan the cache.
  • Recover transmat beacon - Follow the waypoints and defeat the two Supply Thieves along the route.
  • Transmat cache - Retrace your steps to return to the cache, and place the beacon in the marked location.
  • Hold the transmat zone - You'll need to stay within the marked area as waves of Fallen try to overrun you. Pay particular attention to the Exploder Shanks that will appear from the far left - try and take them out quickly from a safe distance. At around 85% Teliks, Bandit Captain will enter the battle - as an Arc (blue) energy weapon to deal maximum damage.
  • Clear out the Fallen - Kill any remaining Fallen once the cache has been taken.

The Season of the Deep is here alongside the Into the Depths quest. You can know go fishing too! Don't forget to keep an eye on the Lost Sector and King's Fall challenge rotation schedule!

Destiny 2 - Bad Neighbors

Bad Neighbors is a low to mid-level Adventure, and can also be found on the planet Titan.

Prerequisites: Complete Riptide
Recommended power: 60
Reward: Rare (Blue) loot.

Here's what you need to do to complete the Bad Neighbors Adventure and tackle Azyrax, Exalted Conjurer:

  • Disarm the Fallen - Kill six Fallen in the area and collect the items they drop. Find the Hive Wizards. Follow the waypoints.
  • Open the door - Once it starts opening move to one side to avoid being hit by the Kinght waiting on the other side.
  • Find the Hive Wizards - Follow the waypoints.
  • Climb the tower - You've already climbed it during Riptide so you should be able to find your way easily.
  • Place Hive Disruptor, Detonate Hive Disruptor - Interact with the marker, then stand back and shoot the bomb.
  • Defeat the Operant Wizards/High Operant Wizards - These guys are well shielded so use of a Solar (orange) energy weapon is recommended, and they can teleport around the area so you'll have to remain on the move. There are three Operant Wizards, then a small wave of Hive, then two High Operant Wizards followed by another wave of Hive.
  • Defeat the Chief High Operant - Azyrax, Exalted Conjurer is a little tougher than his underlings, but as he's on his own the fight is actually easier than the previous phases - use a Solar (orange) weapon to maximise your damage, and try not to get too close to him.

With that, you're all done! Head back to our hub for Destiny 2 Adventures if you're looking for more on these.

Otherwise, nicely done, Guardian.
