Final Fantasy 12 Hunts, otherwise referred to as Marks, become available pretty early on. You'll come across them during your playthrough of the main story, and are a decent way of earning some fairly significant rewards, but as you progress towards the more challenging ones - the Rank VII Marks and the Elite Marks - it's more about the pride.

Here on this page, we'll give you a quick introduction to what Mark Hunts are and how they work, before diving into a list of Marks and Elite Marks strategies and locations for each of the most challenging ones.

What are Hunts, Marks and Elite Marks and how do Hunts work in Final Fantasy 12?

These will be introduced to you in the very early stages of the game, and apart from the initial compulsory one the rest of these form an optional set of encounters that you can take on as you travel around the world. There are 45 in total; 32 are "standard" Marks that can be obtained from the Notice Board you can find in every pub and inn, 12 are "Elite" that you can get by speaking to Montblanc in the Clan building in Rabanastre, and the final one will unlock when you meet a few conditions. Beyond their method of acquisition, the two types of Mark are essentially the same: accept the job, speak to the petitioner, locate your target, and kill it. Their difficulty levels overlap slightly - the first Elites are much easier than the last few standard Marks, but the last few Elites are in a class of their own - but other than that there's not a great deal of difference between them.
