Deadly Premonition is back - as a board game

And it's got Swery's support.

It doesn't look like a sequel to Deadly Premonition will happen any time soon - but there's life in the series yet.

Rising Star Games has launched a Kickstarter for a board game based on Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro's 2007 cult classic thriller - and it's already smashed its $50,000 target.

Deadly Premonition: The Board Game is based upon the game's characters and events, and has Swery's support. It's described as an "adversarial" two-to-four-player card-based board game where you and your fellow detectives have to work out who's innocent and who's guilty. There's a hidden killer among the detectives, so you have to identify a suspect as an accomplice to track down the Raincoat Killer.

Rising Star Games said backers can expect the board game to be delivered by the end of 2017.
