Zelda - Daqo Chisay and The Whole Picture trial solution in Breath of the Wild

How to solve the Wasteland region trial.

Daqo Chisay is one of the many Shrines located throughout Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The challenge inside, named the Whole Picture trial, is a puzzle that has you move metal objects with Magnesis in order to complete electric circuits. Get it right, and you'll walk out a success.

If you need help finding and solving other Shrines, our Shrine location maps page can help, while our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough and guide covers other aspects of the game.

Where to find Daqo Chisay

The Daqo Chisay shrine is located within the Wasteland region, specifically just outside Gerudo Town. To get there, take the south westerly path from Gerudo Canyon Stable, which takes you through the desert.

You'll need either heat resistance or cold resistance to make it to the Shrine, depending on the time of day. The desert is hot in daylight hours and cold at night - a realistic touch - and a vendor at the stable will sell you ingredients for cooking either heat or cold-resistant meals.

There's also a halfway point that gives you a little respite in Kara Kara Bazaar.

There's no puzzle to solve here in order to access the shrine, so simply dive in when you're ready.

Daqo Chisay and The Whole Picture trial solution

This shrine's all about connecting the dots with metal objects. On entering, you'll see a green electrified crystal of some kind, with glowing green lines flowing out of it on the ground. Your job is to connect these to the lamps at various intervals of the room, in order to power the doorways.

First up, start on the left side of the room, and move the large metal cube to the gap between the two right-hand dots of that cable area.

Then, put the barrel on the two dots that are closer together, inside the C-shaped loop of dots closer to the entrance.

That'll open the first door, which contains another barrel.

Take that barrel now and add it to the cabling, this time on the closest pair of dots near the entrance podium.

Now move the other barrel to the other two dots on the corner of that first C-shaped set of cables.

Then, move the metal cube across to the left, to the other large gap between two dots, and this'll connect the cabling up to the second bulb and open the next door. This one contains a chest, with a Thunderblade inside it.

Now, you need to move everything to the right hand side of the room, including the metal chest! Put the three smaller items - the chest, and the two barrels - in the smaller gaps between two dots, and the large metal cube between the two podiums.

This will open the next door, which grants access to a second large cube. Place one large cube by the cluster of dots to the right of the central staircase, and the second cube in the same place but on the left.

This will open up the final gate to the exit, and you're done!
