Jelly Deals roundup: £20 off Nintendo Switch, Outlast Trinity, PS4 Pro, and more

Plus, actual Nintendo-themed Monopoly.

A note from the editor: Jelly Deals is a deals site launched by our parent company, Gamer Network, with a mission to find the best bargains out there. Look out for the Jelly Deals roundup of reduced-price games and kit every Saturday on Eurogamer.

It's time for some gritty, visceral, deals-on-the-ground deals action. For those of you who didn't watch the Call of Duty: WW2 reveal earlier this week, that will make no sense and I apologise. There is a veritable bounty of gaming discounts on offer this week, with everything from PC downloads to board games to Nintendo Switch consoles available with some nice discounts.

Onto the deals! As usual, we've got deals that'll work in the UK, deals that'll work in the US and some deals that will work in both the UK and US, as well as presumably many other places. Let's get started.

Giveaway time!

Yep, it's time for another giveaway. This time, we've got five copies of this week's brand new release of Outlast 2 to give out to a few of you, kindly provided by the generous folks from GOG.com. If you'd like to be in with a chance of winning a copy of the perhaps-overly-grotesque horror survival thing, head over to the link below and you can enter to do just that.

In a week or so, it'll be a brand new set of games that you'll get for your troubles but if you'd like to get in while you can still get that particular duo, you'll want to do it in the next few days.

Once more into the Humble breach, my friends, as this weekend the site is hosting a pair of Weekend-only sales. One will give you some discounts on downloadable versions of The Elder Scrolls Online in various forms while the other offers up to 79 per cent off games from the Resident Evil franchise, including this year's Resident Evil 7: biohazard.

UK Deals

Tesco Direct has a couple of online vouchers running at the moment that can make for some rather fantastic bargains.

  • Save £20 when you spend £150 on selected products with code TDX-KPYK
  • Save £10 when you spend £75 on selected products with code TDX-WNFX
  • Save £5 when you spend £40 on selected products with code TDX-JHMW

With these two codes, you can pick up a range of things with a nice extra discount. Most specifically, it means you can get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the cheapest price around along with getting £20 off a Switch console itself.

Here are some examples:

You can also use the code TDX-JHMW to take another £5 off the site's "2 For £40" range of games, bringing the total cost down to £35 for games including Skyrim Special Edition, Far Cry Primal, Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Dark Souls 3 , Destiny: The Collection and more.

Apparently it's voucher season right now, since Amazon UK is also offering up its own variation on the 'input this code and get some money off' model. Specifically, on video games. Here's the codes you'll need.

  • £5 off video games when you spend £40 or more - VG5OFF40
  • £10 off video games when you spend £75 or more - VG10OFF75
  • £20 off video games when you spend £150 or more - VG20OFF150

These codes work on a whole variety of gaming related bits and pieces, most notably, it includes pre-orders and Amazon Prime members will get an additional £2 off each gaming pre-order, which is also lovely. If you'd like some inspiration, here are some of the stand out things to use these on.

Experiment for yourselves using the above codes and leave a comment if you find anything particularly good. Worth noting that, according to the Amazon T's and C's these codes are good for ONE use per account. So heads up, there.

If you've been after a PS4 Pro console recently, you've probably noticed that they've very rarely seen any form of discount. That is, until SimplyGames lowered the price of its stock of the console down to £319.99 as it did this week. That's the best price for a PS4 Pro console around right now, even if it doesn't come with any games.

If you prefer your games to be more along the 'board' variety but your heart rests firmly with Nintendo, have Zavvi got a deal for you. Right now, you can pick up a Nintendo-themed copy of notorious friendship ending board game Monopoly for a mere £17.99.

While this week saw the release of Outlast 2, that hasn't stopped the boxed edition from being discounted pretty swiftly. Currently, you can pick up Outlast Trinity - which collects Outlast, Outlast: Whistleblower and Outlast 2 in one box - on Xbox One and PS4 for just shy of £25.

In case you missed it, WipEout Omega Collection is coming to PS4 soon and is comprised of shiny new versions of WipEout HD, Fury and 2048. If the very thought of that excites you beyond measure, you may want to pick up this limited Steelbook Edition of the game, which also comes with some fancy WipEout Team themes for your PS4. It's £29.86 from ShopTo right now.

Look, if you own a PS4 but don't already own Bloodborne you might be doing something wrong. That being said, if you've somehow ended up in that situation, you're going to want this copy of Bloodborne: Game of the Year Edition while it's discounted down to £21.99 at Base.

If big, pricey, techy things are more your style, it's worth pointing out that you can currently get an extra £77 off this Microsoft Surface Pro 4 128GB tablet by entering the code LAPTOP10 during checkout. That will bring the cost down from £770 to around £692 for a limited time. Still not cheap, but it's a lot better with that code.

US Deals

While I already mentioned Bloodborne earlier in this article, I'm not quite done yet. The super interesting Bloodborne: Card Game is currently discounted over at Amazon US, costing only $19.99 for a limited time. That's reduced from its original $35 price tag. If you're a tabletop game fan, this one might be up your alley.

In what looks to be a randomly chosen bundle of games, you can currently pick up both Fallout 4 and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain on Xbox One in one bundle, costing you $28. Quite why these two games are paired up, I have no idea, but getting both of these massive games for under $15 each ain't bad.

Right now, the best price you'll find for a new set of Joy-Con controllers in the US is over at Rakuten, where a Gray pair will cost you $64.99. That's $15 less than the RRP and $5 less than Amazon's current price (at the time of writing, anyway). Free shipping, too.

Speaking of Rakuten, the site is also selling a 12 Month Xbox Live Gold membership for its cheapest price right now - it's down to $39.99 for a limited time. Just in time to get a new batch of Xbox Live freebies, too.

With that, we're done for another week. Keep in mind that deals, prices and availability can change at the drop of a hat, so apologies if you miss out on something you wanted.
