Destiny - Vault of Glass walkthrough and guide

Our complete walkthrough for Destiny's Vault of Glass raid, complete with boss strategies, combat tips and chest locations.

The Vault of Glass is arguably the biggest highlight of Destiny's first year.

The designers of the game's first Raid were given license to create challenges that would depend on close communication and coordination between a larger-than-usual fireteam of six players, and it shows - the obstacles presented by the Vault of Glass will test the patience and skill of even the most experienced Guardians.

But the rewards for completion are high, including unique weapons, armour, shaders, and ships, which is where this Vault of Glass walkthrough and guide can help.

This Raid - alongside others in the game - have been brought back at 390 Light as part of the Age of Triumph and the Weekly Featured Raids playlist.

There is a Templar Challenge and Atheon Challenge now available, which we explain on that page, as well as any changes and additions come the arrival of Age of Triumph.

Destiny Vault of Glass walkthrough and guide

Destiny - Vault of Glass: opening the Vault solo and in a group, forming the spire with Vex plates
Before you go Raiding, you need to open the door to the Vault of Glass. You do this by holding down Vex sync plates while a spire forms. There's also an exploit that lets a lone player do it before the rest of the fireteam joins him or her inside.
