Lords of the Fallen - Tyrant Hearts, Tyrants, Ancient Plates, Spellcaster, Dimensional Hound

We'll help you locate all of the Tyrant Hearts in the next area of the game, then explain how to finish off the terrible Tyrants themselves.

Make your way to Kaslo and then head through the portal. Cross the bridge and go upstairs, then get near the Crafter to begin a new cut-scene. Once that's over with, perform any crafting actions you want to complete, then carry on going up. When you get to the top, interact with the checkpoint before talking to Yetka.

Finding the Tyrant Hearts

Head back downstairs and then enter the small room on your right. Go through the little doorway inside and take the Wisdom armour items from the chest on the other side. Go down the next set of stairs and enter the alcove to your right. There's a Hound blocking the door, so kill it, go to the middle of the room, kill the next Hound that attacks, then kill the Forger on the opposite side. Stay away from this latter enemy's fire attacks, as you can rapidly lose a large chunk of health.

Once your opponent's dead, go through the door to your right and pull the lever that's by a chest. Go back to the last room, take the stairs to the right, and kill the Rogue waiting for you at the top. You can't pass through the locked gate up here until you've looted the Small Western Antechamber Key from the Tyrant. Make a note of this location for when you have it, return, take the Ancient Plate item for Yetka and loot the nearby chest.

Assuming you haven't got this key on you, travel along the path that's to the right of the stairs you just climbed. You'll come to another blocked door, so just take the Poison Resistance Shard near the fire for now. Go back to the main area with the checkpoint, then go over the stairs and through the door on the opposite side. Next, jump right onto the nearby ledge to get a Magic Energy Shard, then jump down to where the Rogues and the Forger are. Finish this latter enemy first, as he can do a great deal of damage over time if left to his own devices.

Now find the pair of staircases on this level. One leads back to the entrance, so go up the other one for now and keep walking forward until you can see an Energy Shard on your left. Turn all the way around and jump on the beam (equip lighter armour temporarily if necessary). As soon as you're on it, make your way over to the door on your left.

Be prepared for an ambush from a Rogue the moment you step inside. When you've killed the monster, take the Lost Pike from the chest on your left, then go back downstairs and through the next door ahead of you. Kill the Marauder and the Rogue on the other side of it, then interact with the lever you can find on the wall. Smash the furniture just by the lever to get a second Ancient Plate for your quest.

Fighting the Tyrants

Go back to where Yetka was and walk through the gate that's now open. Before picking a fight with the Tyrant, smash the vase on your left to get the Tyrant Heart quest item. If you don't grab it, the Tyrant will use it to heal himself when he's close to death. Don't go too far into this room either, otherwise you risk attracting more enemies to the fight.

When you've killed the Tyrant you'll be able to loot the Small Western Antechamber Key we mentioned further up the page. When you've grabbed all the goodies, head back to the Tyrant's room, and kill the Hell Hounds and the Forger. Take the Empty Bottle and the Sealed Rune (Small) hidden in the room.

Pass through the massive door on your left and go upstairs. Kill the Marauder at the top, then head right until you come to another Marauder. When the enemy's dead, head straight forwards and take the Sealed Rune (Small) from the far end.

Next, turn around and walk past the set of stairs. Kill the two Rogues up ahead for a little extra XP, then enter the large area ahead where a Forger and a Dimension Beast await. Try to fight the beast at the doorway to stop the Forger joining in at the same time, and be ready to back up fast if you see the Beast dig its claws into the floor.

Take out the Forger next, then grab the audio note from the left-hand side. Inside the chest to your right you'll find a Lurker Thrust weapon to add to your collection. Make your way downstairs and kill the Marauder, then open up the gate to your right when you reach the room. Interact with the lever in the room just beyond, creating a shortcut back to the Tyrant's room.

Another gate to your left will lead you back to the main staircase, but for now carry on along until you reach an enemy known as a Spellcaster. You'll have to watch out for some powerful ranged damage here, so be careful when you're fighting this opponent. When it's close to death, it will start sucking your life to replenish itself. To add insult to injury, it will also detonate on death to hurt you even more. Kill it quick, and then move out of the way even faster when it's dead.

Locating the Ancient Plates

Take the Ancient Plate from by the Spellcaster. If you've got a couple of Small Runes going spare, use them to open up the gate on your right so you can add another Empty Bottle to your collection. Otherwise, head along the corridor, killing any enemies you encounter, until you come to a room containing a - currently - inactive portal. Make a note of this place as it'll be handy for later on.

The doorway will take you back into the Tyrant's room. Go left and upstairs, but this time take a left and go down the stairs near the statue. There's another one of those Dimensional Beasts below, so get ready for a fight.

If you head right now and go all the way around the stairs you'll come to a checkpoint. Use it, then head left as the path forks along the ledge. Jump over the gap, and keep heading around until you come to a chest which contains a Spell Point Shard, a Poison Resistance Shard, and a piece of Griffin armour.

Carry on along this path until you see a massive spider up ahead. Get a few shots in from range using your Gauntlet, and do as much damage as you can without getting close. Keep jumping across the ledges until you come to yet another Ancient Plate. You can also grab a Fire Resistance Shard from the other side of where you entered.

From the junction here, keep heading left and watch out for a spider ambush - tread carefully and you'll be able to get a few pre-emptive shots in with your Gauntlet. Take the Conceit weapon from the nearby chest, then make your way back to the checkpoint.

If you head now towards the end of the path, you'll spot a Rogue above you. Kill it with your Gauntlet to save a more problematic fight later on. To your right is another Tyrant opponent, but the Tyrant Heart you need for the fight is located up above near the Rogue.

Take the path on your left and kill the Dimension Beast you see. Next, take a left and kill the Golem so you can pick up another Magic Energy Shard. Turn back and go left to fight another Golem protecting a chest. Inside the chest you'll be able to take the Swing weapon, as well as a couple of the Wisdom armour pieces.

Again, turn around and go down the left-hand path until you come to a Forger and a pack of Hell Hounds. Draw the Forger to you using a ranged attack, then use additional ranged attacks to kill the Hounds without too much fuss.

There's another audio note just to the left of the fire here. Take it, then go down the path until you come to a Rogue (two, if you didn't pick the first one off earlier). When they're dead, take the Griffin armour pieces from the chest.

Smash up the vase by the fire to get the Tyrant Heart you need, fire a ranged shot at the Tyrant below, then jump down and kill that sucker. Next, go up the stairs and look for an Energy Shard hidden in a little opening to your right. Now take the left-hand path as you head up the stairs, and grab another of these shards from near the cliff-edge.

At the top of the stairs, interact with the lever on your right to open the door. There's a Marauder waiting for you on the other side, so kill it, then take a right to face a Temple Guardian. There's a chest at the end of this area, but it's locked, so for now just make a mental note of the location and head off in the other direction.

Take the Ancient Plate item when you reach the bottom of the stairs. There's a Rogue and a Tyrant waiting for you, and the Tyrant Heart you need can be found in a vase on your left towards the end of the path.

Grab the lever to the right of the door to get it open. On your right is a big spider protecting another one of those audio clips, while to your left is yet another spider protecting a chest with lots of goodies inside. Kill both spiders and gather up all the items, then go through the door and straight on towards the next checkpoint.

Save before making your way upstairs, where you'll have to fight a Rogue. When you reach the end of the next area, make a note of the - currently closed - portal nearby, before heading downstairs. Be warned that doing so will trigger a new cinematic, then throw you straight into a boss fight with the Infiltrator.
