Klei Entertainment's upcoming Hot Lava is exactly what it sounds like

The floor is lava.

Invisible, Inc. and Don't Starve developer Klei Entertainment has revealed its latest upcoming title Hot Lava, a game about not touching the ground (because it's lava, you see).

Based on the childhood game popularised by that one episode of Community, Hot Lava is a first-person platformer that tasks players with hopping, grinding, and swinging on all manner of objects to avoid being burnt to a crisp.

The rules are exactly as Abed Nadir once proclaimed: "Stay on furniture. No books, no bags, the dead can't talk, and no coming back as a lava monster."

So far the only announced platform is PC. But the good news is beta sign-ups are now live.
