PS4 system update beta sign-ups now live

Try out upcoming features in early August.

PS4 players can sign up to be an early tester for the platform's upcoming software update.

According to the US PlayStation Blog, the beta test will begin in early August and signing up requires a master PlayStation Network account.

It's unclear what new features this latest update will bring, but should you not like the new update you can roll back to the current software version 3.55 at any time.

Registration will end once the beta is live, but available slots may run out before then. "We can only accept a limited number of beta testers, so get in now before it's too late," Sony stated of this beta test.
