Omega Force's next Warriors game is based on Berserk

No Guts, no glory.

Dynasty Warriors and Hyrule Warriors developer Omega Force is making a new PS4, PC and Vita game based on the popular Berserk manga series.

Described by Koei Tecmo as "the most lethal Warriors game [yet]", we don't know much about Omega Force's Berserk game other than what its source material is.

The Berserk series premiered in 1989 and is both written and illustrated by cartoonist Kentaro Miura. It follows the exploits of a mercenery named Guts and a military leader named Griffith.

The comic became so popular that it was adapted into an animated TV series in 1997-1998 and has spawned a couple of anime films. There were even a couple of video games based on the franchise, such as 1999's Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage for Dreamcast, and the PS2 title Berserk: Millennium Falcon Hen Seima Senki no Shō, which never made it out of Japan.
