There's a Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare PlayStation VR experience

But it's a one-off for an event, not a part of the game.

Today Activision announced the return of Call of Duty XP, the big Call of Duty event. It's set to take place 2nd to 4th September in Los Angeles.

As part of the announcement, Activision said attendees can play an exclusive Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare experience for PlayStation VR.

Here's the blurb:

Now, that was the first we'd heard of a Call of Duty virtual reality experience, and it seems like a lot of work just for a one-off event.

But Activision told Eurogamer it is a one-off experience for Call of Duty XP, and that VR is not a part of the finished game.

So there you have it. Perhaps Activision will release this COD PSVR experience standalone at some point, but don't expect it to come with Infinite Warfare.
