You can't buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered separately

Stay salty.

Fancy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered but not interested in buying Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare? You're out of luck.

In a FAQ on Activision's support website, the company confirmed Modern Warfare Remastered will not come as a separate disc. It is a full game download included in the Legacy, Legacy Pro and Digital Deluxe editions of Infinite Warfare.

Just to be clear, Modern Warfare Remastered is only available through the Legacy, Legacy Pro and Digital Deluxe Editions.

So the upshot is:

It's worth noting that Activision and Call of Duty are still best friends forever with GAME in the UK. The Legacy Pro edition of Infinite Warfare, which costs £109.99, is exclusive to GAME in the UK. You can get the Legacy edition, which costs £79.99, at other shops, however.

The FAQ tells us Modern Warfare Remastered features the original game's campaign as well as 10 multiplayer maps from the original, including Crash, Backlot and Crossfire.

There's a standalone multiplayer progression system, too, that lets you unlock weapons, perks, weapon attachments and reach Master Prestige.

As revealed yesterday, Modern Warfare Remastered is only available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which makes sense given Infinite Warfare is only available on those platforms. It's being developed by Raven and is executive produced by Infinity Ward.

A couple of other tidbits: your stats from the original Modern Warfare will not carry over to Remastered, the movement system is the same as the original's, and it will have dedicated servers.
