Take an hour-long look at Prison Architect's console version

Captivating.

Prison Architect's new console version is due to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One during the first half of this year.

Based on the footage below - taken of the game's Xbox One code running on PC - it looks like the port is nearing completion.

Introversion's Mark Morris and Chris Delay show off the console edition in the video below, alongside a designer from Double 11, the fellow British studio handling the port.

"For years now, players have watched Prison Architect mature through a sometimes very bumpy Early Access evolution and now it has come of age, blossoming into a beautiful new management game," Paul Dean wrote in Eurogamer's Prison Architect review. "It's smart, it's challenging, it's even a commentary on incarceration and reform in a capitalist culture."
