PlayStation VR due this autumn, says Gamestop CEO

Retailer "in discussions" with Oculus, HTC Vive.

PlayStation VR will hit retail this autumn, according to Gamestop CEO Paul Raines.

In an interview with Fox News regarding the booming VR industry, Raines said "We are right now preparing for the launches of the major VR products. We're in discussions with Oculus, HTC Vive and with Sony... It's a big launch, we're getting ready for it. We will launch the Sony product this fall and we are in discussions with the other two players."

Raines cited investment banking firm Goldman Sachs' prediction that the VR industry will be worth $80bn by 2025.
