Does The Witness make you feel sick?

There's an update in the works that should help.

While most are playing The Witness without a care in the world, some are struggling to keep their lunch down. Not because of horrible bloody violence, but because of motion sickness.

Last week reports came in that the open world first-person puzzle game was causing motion sickness among some players, with the narrow field of view blamed.

Here's one comment on the issue from Reddit:

Eurogamer's own John Bedford suffered from motion sickness while wandering around the game world, as opposed to trying to solve puzzles.

And so, The Witness developer Jonathan Blow is testing an "anti-motion sickness" update that should help. According to brief notes on The Witness' Steam page, the update adds a wider field of view, disables the view "bob", and and adds faster acceleration when walking and running.

The video, below, from the chaps at Giant Bomb, gives us a good idea of The Witness' field of view.
