Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime arrives on PS4 ahead of Valentine's Day

In space, no one can hear you squee.

Two-player arcade game Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is set for a PS4 launch on 9th February, developer Asteroid Base has announced.

For the uninitiated, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime casts two players as astronauts onboard a single spacecraft where the pair must frantically commandeer control panels to raise shield, fire lasers, and steer their vessel.

There's also a single-player mode wherein you can have an AI pet companion man the controls. It's no substitute for partner of the same species, I suppose, but animal friends are pretty great too.

The charmingly titled romantic retro throwback originally arrived on Xbox One and Steam in September where it received rave reviews. Our Simon Parkin recommended it.

"Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a far more challenging game than its sugar pop styling suggests," Parking wrote in his review. "As the title suggests, this is a game best played in pairs. And even then, love is far from guaranteed."
