First it was Predator in fighting game Mortal Kombat X. Now, it's the Xenomorph from Alien.
Kombat Pack 2, the game's next DLC, includes four new playable characters: Leatherface, Triborg, Bo' Rai Cho and headline act the Xenomorph from Alien.
So yes, soon, you can set up Alien vs Predator in Mortal Kombat.
The video, below, shows the four in action. The Xenomorph slices and dices and bites and spears and does that horrible thing with its evil tongue. It also has a move that involves a cuddly face hugger. I love those guys.
There are a couple of things a little off about the Alien, though, such as the sharp teeth and Wolverine-style claws. I don't remember those in the films. But then, from what I remember from Alien lore, the Xenomorph takes aspects of its host as it works its way up the food chain. Perhaps Mortal Kombat's Xenomorph burst through Baraka's chest?
Edit: As you lovely readers have pointed out, this is exactly the case. The Xenomorph burst through poor Baraka's chest. Carry on!
If you buy Kombat Pack 2, you also get Goro, Mortal Kombat's famous four-armed Shokan warrior, as a playable character, along with a load of character skins, such as Brazil themed ones. The Brazil skin pack includes Futbol Cage, Capoeira Liu Kang and Gaucho Kung Lao. Because why not.
