Boxboy! sequel gets a surprise release in Japan

But when will it head west?

HAL Laboratory (of Kirby fame) has simultaneously announced and released a sequel to its 3DS puzzle game Boxboy! in Japan.

Available on the Japanese 3DS eShop, the newly titled Boxboy! Mou Hitotako (which translates to One More Box according to Gematsu) costs ¥680 (about £4).

This latest outing lets player character Qbby release multiple colour-coded strands of boxes at a time.

No western release has been announced, but given how little text these games have it seems quite likely we'll see it on our shores soon enough.

Our Chris Donlan loved the first Boxboy! "The real ingenuity in Boxboy! is how much the creators have clearly been thinking about the people playing it," he wrote in his glowing Boxboy! review.
