Japanese shmup Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours is coming to PS4 and Vita next week

Out now in North America, hits Steam tomorrow.

Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours, the latest entry in Taito's Japanese arcade shmup series Darius, is coming to Steam tomorrow with a PS4 and Vita release scheduled for 8th December, publisher Degica confirmed to Eurogamer.

The Vita version came to North America a couple of days ago while the PS4 version is out today across the pond, but Degica explained that the European release was delayed due to region approval issues.

Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours features nine playable ships, online leaderboards, and loads of branching stages with over 3k unlockable levels in the AC Chronicle mode.

While the Vita version is single-player only, the PS4 and Steam editions of Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours offer up to four-player co-op.

Being a niche release of a historically Japan-exclusive series, Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours is a full-priced affair with the US prices coming to $59.99 on PS4, $39.99 on Vita, and $49.99 on Steam. That's about £40, £27 and £34 respectively. [Editor's note: The developer has since confirmed the Steam price to be £29.99.]

The PS4 and Vita versions will offer Cross-Save support, but not Cross-Buy.
