How to take Fallout 4 base building to the next level

Advanced techniques for the post-nuclear master builder.

Fallout 4's been out for over a week now, and so I imagine more than a few of you have dabbled in the post-apocalyptic role-playing game's base building feature.

Eurogamer's Ian Higton already helped get base building off the ground with his "for beginners" video. That was lovely and nice and whatever, but now, as our workbenches swell with the spoils of scrap runs and our settlements bulge with the influx of wide-eyed travellers, we're hungry for more detailed tips that'll help take our bases to the next level.

Ian's got your back, once again.

Did you know, for example, that you can clip some structures into the ground, thus allowing for foundations to be built anywhere?

Did you know, for example, you can create mammoth structures from those foundations, then move them about as a group?

And did you know, for example, you can build a proper tree house, by combining these advanced tips?

Watch the video below and all will be revealed.
