Mighty Switch Force! Academy announced, on Early Access

WayForward's latest seemingly a PC exclusive.

WayForward Technologies has shocked us all by not only revealing the next chapter of its Mighty Switch Force series, but putting it up for sale on Steam Early Access.

Dubbed Mighty Switch Force! Academy, this latest installment is a prequel featuring series stalwart Patricia Wagon as she undergoes a series of VR training challenges. It will support up to four-player local co-op.

This is only a pre-alpha build, however, and lots of features and content will be added to the final game, including a competitive mode.

No announcement has been made for console or handheld versions of Mighty Switch Force! Academy, but who knows what the future will bring. The developer said it plans to keep Academy on Early Access for "a few months," but it will "keep going until until it's done right!" We've reached out WayForward about its plans for further Academy platforms and will update should we find out more.

In the meantime, you can snag the Early Access version for £6.99 / $9.99 and take a gander at it in the trailer below.
