Video: Why the tutorial is the best bit about Volume

Robin good.

Volume is so drastically different to Thomas Was Alone that I'm really glad to see it came off well - Dan Whitehead did give it a Recommended, after all.

Suitably convinced of its worth, I jumped in to Rob's story of stealthy heroism and immediately found myself sidetracked by the flavour text that pops up whenever you need to learn something new about the game. Niche, I know, but it's honestly my favourite bit about Volume. These snippets of text take something that could so easily be a humourless tutorial bore and use it to bring the world to life - not only telling you how the game world works, but offering a glimpse into the numerous design decisions that went into Volume's creation. I try and explain a bit more about it in the video below, if you fancy it.
