Splatoon's Rainmaker ranked battle mode drops this weekend

Soak it in from Saturday morning.

Wii U-exclusive shooter Splatoon will add Rainmaker, a new ranked battle mode, this weekend.

UK fans will find the fresh mode unlocked from the morning of this Saturday, 15th August. Nintendo hasn't named a time, but has previously set new features live around 2am.

Rainmaker is a capture-the-flag style offering where you must take the Rainmaker item to your opponents' base to score.

Sounds easy, right? Well, here it is in action, as introduced by Splatoon's co-director Tsubasa Sakaguchi.
