Mad Max releases rig requirements for its PC version

New trailer details side characters and story.

Avalanche Studios has released the following system specs to play Mad Max's PC version.

Minimum:

  • OS: 64 bit: Vista, Win 7, Win 8
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-650, 3.2 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.4 Ghz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660ti (2 GB Memory or higher) or AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2 GB Memory or higher)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 32 GB available space

Recommended:

  • OS: 64 bit: Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (3 GB Memory or higher) or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (3 GB Memory or higher)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 32 GB available space

For more on Mad Max, our Aoife Wilson took some time behind the wheel with Max's new ride. "I do get a sense that the two properties are cut from different cloths," she said of Avalanche's game in relation to Fury Road.

That being said, she noted in her Mad Max preview that "it comes pretty close to capturing the energy and pace of Fury Road, especially when a car explodes in front of you and all that's left is a single flaming tire wobbling sadly in its wake."

Mad Max is due 1st September - perhaps unwittingly going up against MGS5 - on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
