Motörhead is getting its own Victor Vran expansion

With Motörhead through the Ages.

Metal band Motörhead is getting its own Victor Vran expansion in honour of its 40th anniversary.

Entitled Motörhead through the Ages, this licensed expansion will take Motörhead through various settings ranging from the Wild West to the dark ages to war torn landscapes.

"Motörhead define the themes of the game as Victor faces evils relevant to our own world - religious fanatics, corrupt politicians and power-hungry oppressive rulers," developer Haemimont Games explained. "During these quests he will be supported not only by the newly designed Motör-Weapons, -Powers and -Skills, but also a soundtrack with over a dozen tracks, partly never heard before!"

Our Chris Donlan found Victor Vran to be a pleasant surprise upon its launch last week on PC, Mac and Linux. "Victor Vran will keep you hitting stuff and collecting loot for a lot longer than you might expect," he said in his review.

This isn't the first time Motörhead has appeared in a video game as its frontman, Lemmy Kilmister, appeared in Brutal Legend and Guitar Hero: Metallica as himself (sort of), and he provided the voice of an arms dealer in Scarface: The World is Yours. His facial likeness was also used in WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007.
