Terraria confirmed for 3DS and Wii U

Something to build on.

2D sandbox Terraria will be ported to 3DS and Wii U, developer Re-Logic has confirmed

Fans have asked for a touchscreen inventory.

The news should come as no surprise - Terraria is already available on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Kindle Fire.

Word of a version for Nintendo platforms was also suspected after the 3DS and Wii U editions popped up on the German USK ratings board back in March.

Still, it's nice to have it all official.

"Terraria is indeed coming to Wii U and 3DS," lead developer Whitney "Cenx" Baird wrote on the game's official forum.

There's no hint yet on what features may be included in the new versions or when they may be released, although Amazon is currently listing them with a placeholder 31st October date.
