Minecraft: Xbox One gets three free birthday skin packs

As Xbox 360 Edition celebrates third anniversary.

Minecraft maker Mojang has launched three new skin packs for Xbox One to celebrate its third birthday on Microsoft's range of systems.

But you'll need to act quick to get them for free - the offer only lasts 10 days, until 17th May.

4J Studios' record-breaking Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft - the first version of the sandbox to launch on consoles - arrived three years ago this week, on 9th May 2012.

Both Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions get a new pack featuring skins of Mojang employees, while Xbox One owners also get the first and second birthday skin packs too (which launched previously on Xbox 360).

It's the first time these have been made available for download on Xbox One, and feature various Microsoft-owned characters such as Master Chief, Banjo and Kazooie, Conker plus Horstachio from Viva Piñata.

Xbox One owners can add the three packs to their download queues by clicking here, here and here.
