Carmageddon: Reincarnation delayed a month to May

Aiming for a hit, and fun.

Carmageddon: Reincarnation was due out next week but now it's due out next month.

Developer Stainless Games announced the delay - from 23rd April to 21st May - on Steam. It needed a bit more polish, it was said.

There will also be an update to improve the Early Access build while you wait.

Stainless explained: "We've been making great strides on all fronts, and were within a metric smidge of releasing next week, but in our final 'Go/No Go' meeting we all agreed that the extra time was needed. The additional month gives us time to polish various areas of the game even further.

"I know that many of you have expressed the opinion that you'd rather we brought you a better game than release too soon. And we agree!"

Our Rick Lane had a look at the Carmageddon: Reincarnation Early Access build recently and found it messy but fun - faithful but a little unexciting because of it. "Provided Stainless can sort out the problems beneath the bonnet, Carmageddon: Reincarnation should satisfy your inner sociopath just fine," he wrote - and with this extra time, maybe Stainless can.
