Tales from the Borderlands released on Steam today

Tomorrow for Xbox One, next week for PS3/PS4/360.

The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us developer Telltale Games has announced a snap release for its new series, Tales from the Borderlands.

The series' first episode will be available to download today via Steam for PC and Mac, and in North America for PlayStation 3 and PS4.

Xbox One owners will then see a release tomorrow, worldwide.

European PlayStation 3 and PS4 owners will get the episode next week, on 3rd December, the same day as its global Xbox 360 launch.

Android and iOS versions are also on the way - at some point before the end of the year.

Created in collaboration with Borderlands developer Gearbox Studios, Tales from the Borderlands lets you play as two new characters from the Borderlands universe.

The five-part tale is set after the events of Borderlands 2 and will somehow feature the re-appearance of bad guy Handsome Jack.

Telltale's other new series, its upcoming Game of Thrones serial, is also expected to launch soon. A recent Steam listing confirmed its release was due during December.
