Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is free to play this weekend on Steam

And 75 per cent off to buy.

Comical first-person Monty Python sketch simulator Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is free to play all weekend on Steam.

I'm pretty sure this is how Bionic Commando got started.

This offer expires Sunday at 2pm PST, which is 10pm in the UK.

To commemorate this weekend trial, Chivalry is 75 per cent off to buy, making it £4.74 rather than £18.99. Or you can buy a four-pack for £13.99 rather than £55.99.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare has sold over 2 million copies and is coming soon to PS3 and Xbox 360. It missed its initially announced 29th October release and will instead be arriving on consoles 3rd December.

Eurogamer contributor Rich Stanton considered Chivalry to be bloody good fun. "This is about men hitting each other with swords, and the hitting part works great," he wrote in his Chivalry review. "Chivalry is a simple pleasure, and a funny game indeed."
